VOTE.....MCHHHH...!!

Elections are around and there are still people roaming aroudn the post offices and the e-seva centres. they are not sure if they will be able to cast their vote atleast this time. there is a lot of confusion every where and there are leaders who are not concerned about it but then come and ask for the vote.

where do they vote from if they are not having one?? it is the situation of many of the voters today. why take the case of any other? your blogger here doesnt have her vote. yes, i dont have my vote. i have applied first in the year 2007 and from then, i have been waiting for it. on the whole i applied for the Voter ID card for three times, but then today i dont have my vote to cast. atleast i dont find my name in the voter list. when i ask my post man and find out in the central PO in hyderabad, they say, they are concerned with only the votes of those who applied in the post offices. if this is the case of someone like me, then how about those live in the rural india? who is gonna give the answer to the questions of people like me?

the other day, there was a live program with the Election Commissioner on phone in a news channel. i called him up and asked about how do i get the problem solved. he asked me to check out in the nearby post office. when i did the same, i was told that they are not at all concerned about it. what do i do now?

the problem is not about not having the vote. it is about the administration. if the government is not concerned about the voted that they require, then what is it gonna do with the problems of the people. this is not the case of the present government. this is the case of every governement that is competing today to grab the power both in the centre and the states.

i accept that i am not the only one whom the government is concerned about but i say, i am not the only one facing this problem. if it cant solve such a small issue then what do we expect to get from them once they get the power they are fighting for??

to me in feel, the voter cards should not be a termly process. there should be an office setup like for the passport, where the citizen is free to go at any point of time and get the name listed as soon as he reaches the ge of 18. if this is the case, then may be the problem can be solved to soem extent. what do you think?
