GENERAL ELECTIONS 2009

It has been a long time that I didn’t post here in this blog. Was a bit busy with the last days of the college and the series in the main poems blog. But now, I am here with a series too.

Since independence, there has been a special place for every General Election. But, today these General elections have changed a lot. So, this is gonna be my series. I am not sure about the number of days I am gonna do this, but then I find this to be the right place to put up the views of me and my Dad on the current politics which is the topic we mostly discuss these days.
All the issues stated here are purely the views of two citizens of india, and I request not to take anything to heart and get against to my blog and this dear friend of yours. I accept all the views of yours too..!!!

Starting the series, here I am with the general topic.
There has always been a good competition between all the candidates at every place. There is a lot of campaigning done by the contestants. There is a lot of money distributed to the voters. There is a lot of tension all around. But there are some questions to be answered.
What are these elections for? Just to transform the power from one party to the other? I feel the same. Every time a voter goes to the polling booth he expects the leaders to do something for him. But then he doesn’t think about how many times he is cheated till then. There are nearly 714,103,070 voters(according the EC) and almost every voter thinks the same.
Will the leaders think about the people in their span? Seriously yaar…people who are more concerned about the retrieval of the amount that they spent during the elections, how can they think about those who are in need of help? There are some candidates who hardly know about their own constituency and how do we expect others to think about the people?
Will they ever put up their promises? I don’t think so. There hasn’t been any candidate who put up his promises after he is elected as a minster.
Even though all the questions here remain unanswered, we still think of the better country and vote for the candidate. We always complain about the dirty politics ant the dirtiest leaders but then, elect them with a hope to see the better country .

Don’t miss the series here. Some more hot topics to come up with the views of a normal citizen of India.
